Hope this note finds you well and starting to enjoy warmer weather as we head into spring. Here in the Smokies we were fortunate to have experienced a fairly mild winter… and the start of spring is shaping up to be beautiful. To bring you up to date on what has been going on here in the Valley, managers and staff have spent the winter months sprucing up the restaurants inside and out getting ready for you all to visit. We have added golf cart parking, new outdoor lighting, refreshed and refinished some of the woodwork, remodeled a bathroom at the Farmhouse, and made a few behind the scenes improvements just to name a few. Everyone has been busy cleaning, painting, and doing routine maintenance all in preparation to welcome you all back to the Valley. Oh and did I mention that this is a big year for Applewood as we will be celebrating our 35th anniversary in the Fall! – Hard to believe! We are so excited to share this milestone with each of you. I bet there are a few of you out there that have been visiting for all 35 years and have tons of memories! It would be fun to hear some of your stories … how about sharing some of your memories on social media and tagging us? I am sure there are a lot of folks out there that would enjoy it in addition to me!
Speaking of social media, have you checked out the new video tour of the entire Valley that we just finished and posted on our YouTube channel? Seeing all your favorite spots here at Applewood may just spark a few thoughts or memories as you virtually stroll thru the Valley. It may even make you have a hankering for your favorite Applewood meal! Which reminds me, we still offer our awesome Cabin Pack for breakfast, lunch, or dinner so you can enjoy the Farmhouse and your house … or cabin, camper, condo, hotel … it’s a winner winner chicken dinner! Cabin Packs can be ordered online or by phone for curbside pick up to have hot and ready to take away and enjoy. They are also perfect for picnics in the park! And if you are local, we also now partner with Doordash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub to bring your Applewood favorites right to your door. Now that is convenient!
Before I sign off, I do want to mention just how much we appreciate your patience during the current workforce shortage. We know waiting for the best southern food in the south is sometimes hard but good things come to those who wait!
